We are very proud of the many achievements and commitment of staff & students.

At Mater Christi we are determined to draw out and develop the aptitudes and talents of all our students.

Part of our 5th & 6th year Computer Studies coursework will involve students creating new content for our website as well as updating & uploading new/amended content.

Please look through the various pages of information here to gain an insight into what our school can offer not only students but also the wider community we serve.

Good news:

Of the Mater Christi Leaving Certificate students in 2012, 45% went on to obtain a place in Universities or Institutes of Technology. Most of the other school leavers are now doing training courses in PLC (Post Leaving Certificate) colleges.

School Mission Statement

Mater Christi is a voluntary Catholic Secondary School under the trusteeship of the Religious Sisters of Charity.

The school community of Mater Christi is a partnership of Parents, Staff, Board of Management and Students
and this community seeks to provide a positive, disciplined learning environment in order to achieve academic excellence and facilitate the growth and development
of each student.

We aim to make our school a happy, friendly, caring place, which recognises the needs of each individual. We believe in helping students develop their confidence, self-esteem and talents, so that they may take their place in society as mature, responsible young adults.

To enable this to happen, we strive to allow the Christian values of justice, respect and concern for others to influence all our ways of being and doing.
